For the 10th weekend in a row, we’ve seen measurable snowfall in the city of Boston.  Yesterday’s 0.3″ brings the season total up to 110.6″, and at this point, we’re just padding the stats as we’ve already taken over the #1 snowiest season in the city.

The good thing about yesterday’s snow was that it had a very tough time accumulating thanks to that high sun angle in late March.  Even though it was overcast, a decent deal of the sun’s energy still gets though the clouds and into the ground (especially dark surfaces) and that meant more wet than white.  Of course, once that sun set, we did get a few icy spots/covered roads, requiring the salt and sanders to get out there.

There’s no snow today, in fact, we’ll have mostly sunny skies back with us though the day as high pressure builds in.  That’ll allow for lighter winds as yesterday’s 20mph breezes are about 10mph today.   Highs are still cool for this time of year, near 40, but all and all, we’ll have a pretty good day.

A passing rain or snow shower is possible tomorrow with mostly cloudy skies and an active breeze, otherwise the next several days look quiet.  We’ll track a wave of low pressure to our south on Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning that may through a little snow into far southeast Mass at that time, but whatever falls will melt easily Wednesday with highs in the 40s as skies clear out.

Thursday’s a bute with temps in the 50s and sunshine and we may take a run at 60s on Friday!  Friday may bring in showers too, especially near day’s end with rain likely sometime Friday night into early Saturday.   Easter Weekend looks a bit cooler again.

Enjoy your Sunday!
