Businesses in New England said they are getting a Super Bowl boost from the Patriots playing in the big game.
Patriots merchandise is already in high demand, but some stores said they have seen some items flying off the shelves recently. At Sports ‘N More in Cranston, owner Rob Lootzie said all things Patriots have been the most popular things in his store.
“We have such a strong fanbase for all the teams here,” said Lootzie. “As long as they keep playing, people will be looking to get something Patriot-related.”
The store got an order of official AFC championship shirts Monday morning and Lootzie said they have already sold about half of the supply.
Lootzie said what attracts shoppers to his store is that it is family-owned and sells unique items, including autographed photos and helmets.
