A suspect turned himself in Wednesday in connection with the shooting of a teenager over the weekend, according to Rowley Police.

Police were called to a shopping plaza on the Newburyport Turnpike Sunday for a report of shots fired.

A teenager later showed up at the Rowley Police station saying had been shot.

The victim was treated in the hospital and later released.

Wednesday, a Rowley Police said a teenager who was involved in the shooting turned himself in at the police station.

The teenager is being held on $500-thousand bail and will be arraigned Thursday.

The identity of the teenager has not yet been released.
