BILLERICA, MASS. (WHDH) - Billerica Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run of a police officer in Billerica.
Police said the officer approached the vehicle in a Rite-Aid parking lot on Boston Road. The driver then allegedly sped in reverse and dragged the officer about 15 feet. The driver then took off.
Police said they are looking for a green Dodge Caravan with Rhode Island license plates. The license plate number is IY888. The vehicle has an aluminum rack on the top.
The driver is wanted for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a police officer.
The officer was not seriously injured and is expected to be OK.
