Suspect wanted in Jamaica Plain for sexual assault

JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. (WHDH) — Police are looking for a suspect after a reported sexual assault in Jamaica Plain early Thursday morning.

Police said the assault happened at 1:41 a.m. in the area of Gay Head and Minden streets.

The victim told police she was walking down Gay Head Street when she was approached by a man who pointed a gun at her and demanded her cellphone. She said he told her to walk with him to a backyard of an abandoned house on Gay Head Street, where she said he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was last seen running down Arklow Street toward Walden Street.

The victim described the suspect as either a light-skinned black or Hispanic man with light-colored eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front and black jeans. He also had a mask pulled up over his nose.
