SACRAMENTO, Calif. (WHDH) — Police are looking for two suspects who were caught on camera robbing a woman at her house’s front door.
The woman said she was coming home from the supermarket when a man ran up and grabbed her from behind. The video shows another man then cover her mouth before the two grabbed her purse and ran off.
The woman told police the two suspects left in separate vehicles. She described them as black men between the ages of 18 and 25; one was around 6 feet tall and the other was between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Sacramento Sheriff Sgt. Tony Turnbull said the city has seen an increase in reports of criminals targeting Asian women. He said criminals assume the women have cash on hand.
“They’re alone, they’re female, they’re smaller in stature,” said Turnbull.
The woman was not injured in the robbery.
