BRIDGEWATER, MASS. (WHDH) - An SUV barreled into a home in Bridgewater on Wednesday, leaving it badly damaged.

Authorities say around 11:50 a.m. a Chevy Suburban crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with a Hyundai Tucson. The collision caused the Suburban to go off the road and crash into the front of the house at 230 Vernon Street near the front door.

Residents were inside the home at the time of the crash, but none of them reported injuries, according to authorities.

The driver of the Suburban, Reynald Cherant, 44, of Randolph, suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Hyundai and a passenger were both uninjured.

Authorities say a criminal complaint will be issued to Cherant for marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

A building inspector responded to the scene and deemed the house to be uninhabitable until the structural integrity of the home could be determined.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
