BOSTON (WHDH) - Officials announced Thursday Tall Ships will return to Boston in 2017.
The Tall Ships will return on June 17-22, 2017.
Boston will be the fourth and only US port of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta.
The regatta is the largest gathering of Tall Ships in Boston Harbor since 2000.
The event will allow members of the public to board the ships, and the event will feature a parade of crew members and cadets, as well as fireworks.
The regatta will start in Royal Greenwich, UK. The ships will race to Sines, Portugal, and then on to Bermuda.
From Boston, the fleet will race to Quebec City.
