MINNEAPOLIS (WHDH) — Target has decided not to go forward with plans to put mini-sized shopping carts in stores.
Target was testing the smaller shopping carts at 72 stores in Minnesota and New York. The small carts were the right size for children and was supposed to allow children to shop alongside their parents and caregivers.
Some customers liked the idea of shopping carts for children. But Target got more negative than positive feedback. Some customers complained of bruised ankles. Parents said it was difficult to manage their children with the carts as they got carried away with shopping.
The carts have been removed from stores.
