In a winter full of Spring-like days, we’ll get a taste of the actual season we’re in today. While winds aren’t the damaging gusts of yesterday, they are active today, gusting 25-30mph. This go around, the wind is from the northwest and that’ll push in colder, Canadian air. Temps this morning start off in the mid 30s and don’t go far through the day, staying in the 30s to near 40 by early this afternoon which is fairly seasonable for the date. Add in the wind, and the wind chills run in the 20s. Chilly air settles in tonight with temps in the teens in most towns. Winds are active this evening and diminish overnight.
It’s a cold start to the weekend, but just like the winter weather we’ve had this year, it doesn’t have much staying power. While we’ll only warm to near 40 Saturday, we’ll hit the mid 50s by Sunday! The weekend stays dry too.
Mild air continues Monday with just a passing shower or two. Another chance for showers moves in Wednesday. With a storm cutting west of us once again, we’re on the mild side with temps in the 50s to near 60 with that rain.
Overall, the next week or so does not feature much of a chance for snow. March comes in next week like a lamb as one of the warmest meteorological winter (Dec-Feb) closes out.
Enjoy the weekend and TGIF!!!
