BOSTON (WHDH) - The victim of a stabbing spree at a Taunton mall was honored with a 9/11 award for bravery.

George Heath’s wife, Rosemary Heath, accepted the Madeline Amy Sweeney Award for Bravery on her husband’s behalf on Sunday.

Heath died earlier in the year after he jumped in to protect a pregnant waitress from a man with a knife at a Taunton Mall.

The award is in honor of Madeline Amy Sweeney.

Sweeney was a Massachusetts flight attendant aboard the plane that flown into the World Trade Center’s North Tower.
