CHELSEA, Mass. (AP) — Police have arrested two suburban Boston teens after they allegedly stabbed a minivan driver who they’d hired to give them a ride over the weekend.
The 15-year-old and 17-year-old suspects are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery.
Police say the unidentified teens stabbed the 57-year-old driver in his vehicle around 6:40 p.m. Sunday in Chelsea. Investigators believe the east Boston man was a subcontractor for a livery company.
The victim was seriously injured in the attack and was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he’s currently listed in stable condition.
It’s unclear if police have a motive for the stabbing.
