Police have arrested a man in connection with human trafficking in Tewksbury.

Tewksbury Police received a call from an employee at the Extended Stay America Hotel who said he was concerned about two young women who appeared to be under the direction of a man.

Tewksbury Police responded to the hotel and began an investigation.

Police determined Leo Rith Sat, 38 of Lowell, had recruited the women and driven them to Tewksbury from Providence, R.I.

According to police, Sat rented a hotel room in order for the women to conduct sexual acts for a fee and to provide him with a percentage of the money.

Sat was arrested and charged with human trafficking, deriving support from prostitution and sexual conduct for a fee.
