A little girl from Texas made a lifetime memory after she bumped into Santa Claus during a trip to Walmart.
St. Nick was off duty, but spreading some Christmas cheer.
"I told him if he was Santa and he said yes," said Aria Sandoval.
Aria and her mom were shopping at an area store when "Santa" caught her eye.
"I asked the little girl what she wanted for Christmas and she was a good girl, and she has an eight year old sister,” said Al Hill, the Santa look-alike. “And I took the stuff that I had in my cart and I put it in her basket."
"It makes me feel happy for her because we both really love candy and my sister’s the one that really eats sweets," said Aria’s sister Talia.
Hill said every year around this time he meets a lot of people who see jolly old Saint Nicholas in him, but it’s usually when he’s dressed in the red suit.
Aria’s mom, Ana-Marie said it was a sweet gesture and she’s thankful to "Santa" for keeping the Christmas spirit alive.
"There’s just so many bad things going on in the world today, that just a simple act of kindness like that, it just reassures you that there’s still good people and there’s still good things out there," she said.
The kind gesture has gotten quite a response on social media as well, with almost 21,000 likes and more than 4600 shares.
"Being Santa in general makes me happy all year round because I have something to look forward to,” said Hill. “It’s just a part of my life."
