A 19-year-old in Texas is dead after taking selfies while posing with a gun on Tuesday.
The gun apparently went off accidentally and struck Deleon Alonso Smith in the throat, killing him.
Smith’s cousin was in another room when the shooting happened.
The cousin told police they found the gun earlier in the day and investigators are working to find out exactly where it was found.
Smith was the father of two young children and was supposed to start college on Wednesday.
