The MBTA says it is making progress in trying to cut the amount of overtime pay that is given to employees.
A report that is set to be released Monday shows that so far this year, the agency has cut overtime spending by about $40,000 a day.
Officials say at this pace, the T may be able to save $15 million in overtime costs this year alone.
