Yet another bitterly cold morning under way as temps are running in the teens and wind chills are running in the single numbers. Ouch. March has not been kind these past two years. Last March, out temps ran around 5° below normal (#11 coldest March) and we are around the same place this March (#8 coldest so far). Not what you want when you get blitzed by snow in January & February.

While today & tomorrow are cold with temps only near 30-35 for afternoon highs we are tracking 60° by later this week! We’ll need the help of a warm front to deliver the goods by midweek and this front will produce clouds and showers Wednesday Night & Thursday. Until then, arctic High Pressure supplies us with cold, dry weather so at least we’ll have sunshine for the next 3 days.

In terms of finally ridding ourselves of this arctic air it’s still about about another 1-2 weeks of being clear of arctic blasts of air. I think finally by early-mid April the jet stream relaxes enough for us to get into seasonal & perhaps above normal temps. Hang in there
