MANHATTAN, New York (WHDH) — Federal agents are describing the rainbow fentanyl hidden in a LEGO box as “every parent’s worst nightmare” after they seized 15,000 colorful pills from a woman in Manhattan, New York.

Authorities in New York said they stopped a woman in Manhattan and seized the colorful pills as part of a rainbow fentanyl trafficking operation. The pills were inside brick-shaped packages that looked like LEGOS, authorities said.

“This is treacherous deception to market rainbow fentanyl-like candy,” said DEA Special Agent Frank Tarentino. “This is every parent’s worst nightmare, especially in the month of October as Halloween fast approaches.”

The DEA said the pills originally came from Mexico.
