SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - Police say they have arrested three people on several drug and weapons charges.

Officials arrived at 61 Goddard St. on Wednesday morning following a suspicious phone call. Police arrived at the apartment and knocked on the door, which was answered by Christian Concepcion, 25.

Officers determined there was a warrant out for Concepcion’s arrest and he was placed into custody.

During the arrest, officers saw another man in the apartment who appeared to be nervous and was avoiding officers. Police attempted to question him, but he attempted to escape into a side bedroom. Officers struggled with the man and eventually recovered a loaded silver .22 revolver.

The man was later identified as Juan Rosario, 27.

Officers called for assistance to handle a third suspect, an angry woman later identified as Marangely Cartanega, 27. Officers also found several materials connected to narcotics distribution in the kitchen including cocaine, crack cocaine, a cutting agent, scales and packaging material. Officers also found Cartanega’s two young children in the home.

Officers arrested Cartanega and contacted DCF to have the children removed from the home.

The three suspects were arrested and charged with weapons and drugs offenses.
