BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston police have charged two juveniles and one adult in connection with a fire that destroyed a school playground in Roslindale.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a fire at the Charles Sumner Elementary School playground shortly before 10 p.m. May 23.

When officers arrived, they found a large portion of the playground on fire.

The Boston Fire Department extinguished the flames, and the damage was estimated at over $10,000.

The juvenile suspects are a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy. The third suspect is a 23-year-old man, whose name is being withheld by police.

All three suspects are from the Roslindale area.

The suspects were charged with arson, and they will be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on June 17.
