What. A. Day! The humidity was still in check and temperatures warmed into the lower to middle 80s for most towns, aside from the Cape and Islands. Those numbers are 10-15 degrees above the average for the time of year and it looks like we’ll do it again on Sunday with tons of sunshine.
Before we get to Sunday, let’s talk about tonight. With humidity still rather low, overnight temps are comfortably cool with lows heading back to near 50 in the suburbs, but staying close to 64 in the city. We’ll have lots of clear skies this evening, but patchy dense fog will likely form overnight.
That fog does burn off quickly tomorrow morning and with mostly sunny skies, temps soar into the 80s. Low 80s at the coast before localized sea breezes kick in and mid to upper 80s inland. The Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire will be the warmest with highs near 88. The record in Boston tomorrow for the date is 90, set back in 1881, so we’ll be well below that in the city, but Providence will likely be close to breaking their record of 84.
Monday is another warm day with highs near 80, although winds turn onshore as a cold front comes through, pushing the numbers back into the 70s and even the 60s along the coastline by day’s end.
The rest of the week is much cooler with highs in the 60s. I don’t see a lot of rain ahead, just the risk of a couple of showers Tuesday and again Saturday. The mid-week storm to our south looks to be too far south again at this point.
