WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Worcester police say a toddler who fell from a third-floor window suffered head and rib injuries but is expected to survive.

The 2-year-old girl apparently pushed a screen out of the window in the Austin Street home before the fall onto the driveway Wednesday at about 4 p.m.

The child's mother told police she was in the bathroom at the time. The mother went to locate her daughter and noticed the window screen missing. When she looked out the window she saw her child on the ground.

No names were released.

The fall remains under investigation.
