The Toshiba company is recalling 91,000 battery packs found in laptops due to a potential fire and burn hazard.

The recall involves 39 models of laptops, including Portage, Satellite, and Tecra laptops, though the battery packs may have also been sold separately.

Of the 91,000 recalled, an estimated 10,000 were sold in Canada.

Customers should check the Toshiba website to see if their battery pack is included in the recall. If it is, customers are advised to shut off the laptop, remove the battery pack, and contact Toshiba Customer Support (1-866-324-1366) for a replacement.

There have been four reported instances of overheating battery packs so far, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
