BOSTON (WHDH) - Massachusetts is set to see some of the coldest temperatures in the country Friday morning. MBTA spokespeople and the governor have reported that trains and tracks are prepared for winter weather.

7News is tracking MBTA activity this morning as arctic weather patterns move through the state. Today we are tracking delays via the MBTA’s live-updated Twitter account and reports from officials.

It is unclear how many of the delays this morning were caused directly from the below-freezing temperatures.

Keolis, the company that runs the commuter rail service, reported that one rail in Rockport was cracked from frigid weather Friday morning.
