An infant is dead after a tree fell on a Georgia home.
Police said severe storms uprooted the tree onto the home in West Point on Friday afternoon.
They said at least four adults and three children were inside the home at the time.
The seven-month-old baby boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members said the boy’s death is devastating.
“Just trying to figure out how I’m going to go on without him,” Tynesha Slaughter, the boy’s mother, said.
No one else in the home was hurt.
The National Weather Service told authorities straight line winds caused the tree to fall, but no tornado activity was reported.
