Firefighters raced to the rescue as a truck fire in a Burger King drive-thru quickly spread to the building.

Witnesses said the truck burst into flames Sunday afternoon at the Burger King in Wareham. Firefighters said the fire sparked in the truck’s engine. Witnesses said the driver did not notice his truck was on fire until he was alerted by the driver behind him.

The building itself then caught fire. First responders arrived on scene and were able to rescue the driver from the truck.

No one was injured in the fire. It is not known yet when the Burger King will re-open.
