A box truck traveling down a street in Salem clipped some wires, sending the wires onto trees, catching them and a house on fire.
No one was home at the time and no one was injured.
“It was a pretty crazy scene when we pulled up, the primary wires were in the street burning, the asphalt was actually burning in the street along with the wires, so it gave
us a little bit of a detour, we had to go around the block to get here,” Deputy Chief Dennis Lavasseur said.
The power company is on the way to the scene.
