Today’s gusty winds did more than blow the leaves around and mess up hair. They slowly transported the coolest air we’ve seen in weeks into New England. Certainly you’ve seen the stats on November: all 13 days above normal, two record tying temperatures, three days of 70 or better….it’s been wiiild I tell you.
It’ll take until tomorrow morning to feel the seasonable cold, however. And you can count on the wind to stay busy throughout the day as well. Figuring that into the situation, you’ll have to dress warmly. Although we’ll talk about highs in the mid/upper 40s, the wind chill (yes, that notorious winter term) will make it feel like the 30s at times.
Sunday we’ll start turning the situation around. Highs recover to the mid 50s after a hard freeze in the morning. Monday pushes the temperatures a little more with the wind turning more southwest.
Still banking on a significant warm-up late next week. There is a slight setback on Tuesday with the batch of cool air shooting in from the north, but this is a warm spell that won’t be denied. Highs by late week will soar to the 60s – if not 70 – as the warm weather rides in on a south/southwest wind.
Make it a good, safe weekend.
