As Rolling Thunder motorcyclists rumbled into Washington to honor veterans this Memorial Day weekend, Donald Trump rolled in too, asking for their support.

“We are going to rebuild our military,” Trump said. “We’re going to make it bigger and better and stronger than ever before, we have no choice.”

The message hit home for many, including a woman who flew cross country to see Trump.

“I think he’s going to go into Washington, and kick out all those bureaucrats who did nothing,” Trump supporter Rebecca Pilgrim said.

Bernie Sanders is in California, ten days before that state’s big primary. Sanders still believes he can win the democratic nomination.

“Obviously California is very, very important, 475 super delegates,” Sanders said. “If we don’t do well in California it will make our path much, much harder.”

Sanders is criticizing trump for not debating him.

“When the general election happens, when there’s a democratic nominee, Mr. Trump will be happy to debate whoever emerges from the system,” Trump’s campaign chair Paul Manafort said.

Hillary Clinton took the day off after a tough week when a state department inspector general report said as Secretary of State, she never asked permission to use a private email server. Clinton has said she did.

The Libertarian party is trying to give voters another option. On Sunday, it nominated former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson for president, just as it did in 2012.

That party is hoping to capitalize on Trump and Clinton’s huge unfavorable ratings, which polls show are both over 50 percent among voters.
