Donald Trump gave an aggressive speech Thursday night in Fort Dodge, Iowa, taking on everything from ISIS to his closest rival Ben Carson.
This was also Trump’s first public event with Secret Service protection.
“I would just bomb those suckers, and that’s right, I’d blow up the pipes,” said Trump. “I’d blow up the refinery. I’d blow up every single inch. There would be nothing left.”
Trump also launched his most aggressive attack on Ben Carson, by giving a 10 minute rant that included accusing him of being a liar and comparing him to a child molester.
"He said he’s got pathological disease,” said Trump. “He actually said ‘pathological temper’ and then he defined it as disease, so he said he has pathological disease. Now, if you’re pathological, there’s no cure for that folks.”
At one point, Trump stepped away from the podium and flipped his belt buckle up and down to mock Carson’s story that he once tried to stab someone, but was stopped by a belt buckle.
He said it’s not possible and even challenged the audience to try to stab him.
Moments later, Trump told the crowd that he can’t understand why anyone supports Carson, who is essentially tied with him for support in the first-voting state.
“How stupid are the people of Iowa?” he said.
Carson’s top aide fired back saying Trump was “bitter and rambling”. He said Trump actually likes Carson, and just resents seeing Carson on the rise.
