NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI (WHDH) – Yacht Club Bottling Works in Rhode Island started taking a special kind of presidential poll several months ago: votes on soda pop.

The club sold bottles of Hillary’s “Liberal Limeade” and Donald’s “Populist Punch.”

Trump’s punch came out on top, selling just over 21,000 bottles compared to about 20,400 bottles of Clinton’s pop.

The drinks have colorful cartoon depictions of the presidential candidates on the bottles.

Trump’s soda win may come as surprising to some, because Rhode Island is a traditionally Democratic state.
