A judge is now considering a request from Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s lawyers to throw out some of the Marathon bomber’s convictions.

The defense argued that a new Supreme Court ruling detailing what a "crime of violence" is should eliminate half his death penalty convictions.

Tsarnaev was ordered to pay 80 million dollars in restitution to the bombing victims.

Tsarnaev is being held at a federal prison in Colorado.
