From turkey and all the fixings, to turkey sandwiches, and then finally to turkey soup.  That seems to be the popular flow chart, right? We just need the right turkey soup weather back in here.  While yesterday’s mid 60s were fantastic for all those shoppers scrambling around all day, or for those who scramble to put up the 25,000 twinkle lights the day afternoon Thanksgiving, you Griswolds knew it couldn’t last long.

The mild weather is fleeting today as mid 50s this morning transition to mid 40s this afternoon.  Occasional light rain is most widespread from mid morning to mid afternoon, allowing for a damp, cool feel to the air.  Perfect for turkey soup!  I don’t expect a lot of rain, a tenth of an inch for most with maybe two tenths northwest of Boston, but it’s enough to wet the ground and get some puddles going.  Careful of the road spray if your hitting the highways today.

We’ll get some sunshine back after some early clouds south of the Pike on Sunday with seasonable temps in the mid to upper 40s.   Dry and bright weather continues Monday with a bit of a chill as highs are hard pressed to get much above 40.

The next storm for us sets up for a rainy Tuesday night and Wednesday as plenty of moisture comes out of the Southern Plains and moves northeast.  The main area of low pressure works through the Great Lakes, meaning we’re on the warmer side of the storm.  So no snow.  In fact, the pattern for the next couple weeks looks like it’d be tough to get any significant snow in here.  So if you procrastinate in putting out the Christmas decorations outside, you still have some time.  After Wednesday’s rain, high pressure should control the board through next weekend.  Keeping a coastal storm offshore, well southeast of us next weekend.

Have a good weekend!
