A matchup of early heavyweights is the battle worth watching in Week 4 of the 7News fantasy football league.

Reporters Dan Hausle (3-0) and Tim Caputo (3-0) are two of just three unbeatens left in the league – Sports Director Joe Amorosino is 2-0-1 – and they are looking forward to settling an early score.

"I’ve made a lot of changes in my lineup," Hausle says. "I’m hoping to get Arian Foster back in the lineup. This is going to be a tough one, but I think I’m going to come out on top."

Early projections have Hausle as a five-point favorite. Caputo will be keeping a watchful eye on the status of Bears WR Alshon Jeffrey, who may not be available in his team’s matchup against the Raiders. He’ll be hoping that Hausle’s high-end talent – the trio of Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, and Julio Jones – aren’t at their best.

In other intriguing matchups, a sports department battle is brewing between Amorosino and Alex Corddry. The former is off to a quick start, and it will be up to Corddry – already without QB Ben Roethlisberger this week – to catch up.

League commissioner Nicole Oliverio, currently 2-1 on the year, is a projected 2-point underdog in her matchup against Brandon Gunnoe. Gunnoe, for his part, is confident, despite having to bench Tom Brady for Falcons QB Matt Ryan in Brady’s bye week.

"Ryan is consistently good at fantasy," Gunnoe said. "He’s not always the most exciting quarterback, but he’s consistently good.

"It’s Nicole," he continued. "She’s won 2 in a row, I’ve lost 2 in a row, but any given Sunday…it’s her time to lose and it’s my time to win."

Pete Bouchard hopes to draw even to 2-2 against winless Kris Anderson this week, and 0-2-1 Jeremy Reiner is looking for his first win as he faces off against Trey Daerr.
