The Pennsylvania attorney general confirmed Friday that two missing children have been found and are now safe and with police.
Two men believed to be their father and grandfather were taken into police custody in Philadelphia.
The Amber Alert spanned several states, because it was believed the four were traveling towards Massachusetts.
Police found the car they were driving in on the road in Philadelphia, and placed the men under arrest.
Authorities say 3-year-old Erielys Ahorrio and her 4-year-old brother John were taken at gunpoint from a home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania around 7:30 Thursday night.
Authorities say the men took off with the kids and were thought to be traveling through Pennsylvania and up to central Massachusetts. However, they were found just 70 miles away from the home.
Police say 23-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Jr., the children’s father, was the one who kidnapped them along with their grandfather.
It’s believed there was a fight before the children were taken.
