Two men were arrested after a homeowner saw them breaking in to his house through a live-stream from his video surveillance system.

Fairhaven Police received a call before 8 a.m. on Friday reporting a residential break-in in progress.

The caller told police he was watching a live video feed from his house that showed two men breaking in.

Police went to the Howland Road home and found two men inside on the second floor.

One man was arrested without incident.

The second man jumped out of a second floor window and led police on a chase through the neighborhood. They eventually caught him and arrest him.

The man arrested inside the house was identified as Brian Chandanais, 28 of Acushnet.

The man who was arrested after running away was identified as Jay Burtch, 29 also of Acushnet.

Chandanais was charged with breaking and entering to commit a felony, vandalism, larceny from a building, possession of burglarious instruments and resisting arrest.

Burtch was charged with breaking and entering to commit a felony, two counts of vandalism, possession of burglarious instruments, disturbing the peace and larceny from a building.

Police said a small amount of property was found on the suspects.

The vandalism charges stem from damage they did to the house while breaking in.

The entire break in was captured on video by a security system the homeowner had installed.
