Brookline Police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting and stabbing in Brookline on Wednesday.

Brookline Police on Thursday said two people were arrested and two suspects are still at large. One of those men is considered armed and dangerous.

Antonio Brown, Jr., 27 of Cambridge, and Khari Wilcox, 18, of Dorchester were placed under arrest and currently in stable condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.

They are facing charges including armed assault in a dwelling, armed assault with intent to rob/murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

A judge arraigned Wilcox on Thursday inside his hospital room.

Brookline Police Chief Daniel O’Leary said one of the theories police are working with is that this incident was a drug deal gone bad.

Police have also found the rental car believed to be involved in the incident.

Police found the vehicle about two miles away from where the incident occurred, near Symphony Hall in Boston.

Three people were hospitalized.

Brookline Police said officers got a call just before noon about a "disturbance" at an apartment at 198 St. Paul St. Officers then received multiple calls about two men found lying in the street at 75 Harvard St.

Police say Wilcox and three other men and there was fight involving a gun and at least one knife. The man who rents the apartment was shot several times in the leg. Police say the apartment resident fought back and the attackers left in the car.

Police say three of the four men got out of the car on Harvard Street around noon. The driver of the car sped off.

At Harvard Street, a witness told 7News that she saw a car pull up to an off-duty EMT and push two wounded men out into the street. One of the men had been shot and the other was stabbed and possibly shot. Two cellphones were also found in the street by police.

The three victims were taken to the hospital, where police said they are in "stable" condition.
