MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. (WHDH) — Two sinkholes have closed the Florida turnpike in Miami-Dade county.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the giant holes in the turnpike were caused by a broken water line.
The sinkholes aren’t far from Sun Life Stadium–the home of the Miami Dolphins.
The road closure caused traffic problems in the area.
There is no word on when the turnpike may be repaired and reopened.
