Two workers in Dorchester had a dangerous day on the job Saturday after a porch collapse on Sudan Street sent them crashing down.
One of the workers fell into a tree, and the other hit the ground and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Neighbor Alicia Witorwski couldn’t believe her eyes when she looked out her Dorchester window. The house she had lived behind for decades looked like it was collapsing.
Firefighters rushed to the building to tend to the men, who are expected to be OK.
Neighbors said the building had been neglected for more than a decade until Anthony Monahan bought it just three days ago.
Monahan said Saturday was the first day of demo. He said while they knew the porches were bad, they didn’t know they were that bad.
