For the fourth Olympics running, Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird led the way for the Stars and Stripes to extend the U.S. Olympic win streak to 43. Taurasi had a U.S.-high 13 points.
Spain played the United States tough, but the U.S. depth was too much for the Spaniards to overcome. All but one of the Americans scored with five players notching double digits.
Alba Torrens scored a game-high 20 points for Spain in the loss.
