BOSTON (WHDH) - The Uber driver who police said crashed into a Beacon Hill house Wednesday has several violations on his driving record.

Jean Caillot’s driving record from the Department of Transportation spans back to 1985 and shows his license was suspended several times over the years. He has a history of speeding and crashes and his most recent ticket was 10 months ago. His record shows the last crash he caused was two years ago.

Uber said Caillot passed their screening process because he did not have more than three minor violations in the last three years and no major violations in the last seven years. Because his record fell within Massachusetts state laws, Uber said they hired him.

Police said the SUV Caillot was driving came in contact with a car at the bottom of the street. He then lost control and accelerated until he crashed into a house on Grove Street. A passenger was in the back seat at the time and both suffered minor injuries. The homeowner was not home at the time.

Police said they do not plan to charge Caillot.
