BOSTON (WHDH) - The Uber driver who police said crashed into a Beacon Hill house Wednesday has several violations on his driving record.

Jean Caillot’s driving record from the Department of Transportation spans back to 1985 and shows his license suspended several times over the years. He has a history of speeding and crashes and his most recent ticket was a year ago. Uber said his record fell within Massachusetts state laws and that was why he was hired.

Police said the SUV Caillot was driving came in contact with a car at the bottom of the street. He then lost control and accelerated until he crashed into a house on Grove Street. A passenger was in the back seat at the time and both suffered minor injuries. The homeowner was not home at the time.

Police said they do not plan to charge Caillot.
