That headline sums up your weekend forecast. This weekend won’t go down as one of the better weekends for outdoor activities but you won’t be trapped inside all weekend either. The reason for the unsettling weather is a cool front now in western New England trying to move through New England. The problem is High Pressure in Nova Scotia and Low Pressure south of Nova Scotia. This High-Low combo is like Gandalf…."You Shall Not Pass"—to the cool front. That puts us in the middle (Earth) of this meteorological fight and the result will be lots of clouds and scattered showers each of the next 3 days. It will not rain straight for the next 3 days though so outdoor plans can get accomplished but just have rain gear & patience when heading out this weekend.

Early next week starts with much the same–a lot of humidity and the risk of a few showers along with partly sunny skies. I think we’ll have to wait for a whole new cool front next Wednesday to finally usher in drier, more comfortable air into the region.

Have a great weekend!
