A young boy won a bet with his dad after he completed a historic swim at Alcatraz Island in California.
James Savage, 9, made the three-mile swim to Alcatraz Island and back, in two hours.
He became the youngest person to make the swim.
James said he had a tough time at the beginning, but his family motivated him to keep going.
“We kind of pushed each other on. I finally got him going, we touched the rock, we turned around and it was just smooth sailing,” said James’ coach.
The boy’s dad will pay him $200 for completing the swim.
