Crews attempt rare arctic rescue mission

Crews are attempting to fly to the National Science Foundation’s South Pole Station to help a sick researcher.

The rescue mission is so dangerous, it’s only been attempted twice in the station’s 60-year history.

Temperatures in the area can drop to around 60 below zero.
