HOLLYWOOD, FL (WHDH) — A puppy theft was caught on camera as surveillance video showed a woman stealing a tiny dog from a south Florida pet store.
The woman was with a young child as they walked into the Puppy Palace on Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday, staying for barely two minutes.
On surveillance video, the woman is seen reaching into a pen and pulling out an eight-week, two-pound female Maltese-poodle mix.
Owner Judy Norford had gone to pick up cleaning supplies when the theft happened, passing the woman and the child in the parking lot as they walked in.
When she returned, the workers had realized only two of the puppies remained.
The woman was later seen on surveillance video returning the puppy, leaving it in a cardboard box for employees to find.
