CHICAGO (WHDH) - An audience member at the Chicago run of “Hamilton” is facing charges for a wild outburst caught on camera on Saturday night.

The incident happened during the song, “Yorktown,” that features the line “Immigrants, we get the job done.”

That’s when the theater police told security a man, 56-year-old John Palmer, disrupted the play.

He was escorted into the lobby where Jeff Grider recorded Palmer’s arrest with his cellphone camera.

“The quotes that I heard him say: ‘Our side won. Our side won.’ Again, ‘If you didn’t vote for Trump, you don’t belong here,’” said Grider.

“Mr. Palmer regrets what should have been an otherwise enjoyable evening with his family, turned into something more,” said Johnathan Feldman, Palmer’s attorney.

Feldman said his client, a Chicago businessman, was not drunk and did nothing wrong.

Palmer has been charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

The incident happened the night after Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended the play in New York City.
