Congressman Steve King from Iowa will propose a new amendment that would block the treasury from putting Harriett Tubman on the $20 bill.
The amendment would ban the treasury from using any funds to re-design paper or coin currency.
If enacted, Andrew Jackson would stay on the $20 bill.
The treasury decided to switch out the president for Tubman after a campaign to get a woman on a piece of U.S. currency, started by a girl from Cambridge.
Sofia, 11, wrote to President Obama with her idea when she was just 9 years old.
Tubman is set to appear on the $20 bill in 2020.
