Glendale, CA (WHDH) – The United States Food & Drug Administration announced Nestlé USA, Inc. is recalling its Nestlé Drumstick Club 16 count Variety Pack and 24 count Vanilla Pack due to a possible health risk.

The company reports manufacturing equipment received positive test results for a bacteria known as Listeria monocytogenes (LM).

Nestlé says that the products impacted by the recall were sent into distribution inadvertently.

LM is a bacteria that causes listeriosis, a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium.

No illnesses have been reported to date.
