GREENVILLE, TN (NBC) — Three children are recovering after falling more than 35 feet from a ferris wheel in Tennessee.
The incident happened Monday night at the Greene County Fair in Greenville, Tennessee.
Witnesses said a bucket carrying the children flipped over, throwing the three out to the ground.
All three were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Greenville police are treating it as a crime scene until they can determine the exact cause of accident.
A ride inspector will be on scene Tuesday to investigate.
“So at this point we are just in a holding pattern,” Capt. Tim Davis of Greenville Police Deptartment said. “We have to wait. We will keep that area secure tonight. We will
have officers on scene with it all night up until the inspector comes in and does his inspection we’ll secure that scene.”
